With extensive government regulation of the workplace, employee disputes are a reality of owning a business. We confidently advise clients in a wide variety of labor and employment law situations, including:

  • Employment contracts
  • Wage and hour claims
  • Discrimination (age, disability, gender, pregnancy, race and other protected classifications)
  • Harassment and sexual harassment
  • Wage and hour claims, including unpaid overtime
  • Wrongful termination
  • Intellectual property

  • Issues involving the:
    • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
    • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
    • Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)

Noncompete Agreements

When separating from a business, an employee may be presented with and asked to sign a noncompete agreement. This contract bars the employee from working for certain types of businesses that may be in competition with the business they are leaving.

To ensure the noncompete agreement is not too strict or not too flexible, an attorney should review the document before it is presented or signed. Our firm represents employers or employees in noncompete agreement situations, negotiating the terms and ensuring the employee’s or employer’s rights are preserved.
